She stayed inside the lines

Until you are a parent you won't realize the pride you feel when your child reaches a new milestone. Some milestones are bigger than others. First steps, first words, and potty training are some of the bigger ones. However, I find as much pride and joy in accomplishing the small milestones. This weekend, my daughter was coloring and came to the realization that the lines in the coloring book are significant. She colored the nose of a bear and she was so proud that she stayed inside the lines. We now have a coloring book where she found all the small circles she could and colored them in.

It was a good weekend!
